What you get

For everyone you want to send to the USA, step by step.

  • In writing: the roadmap for every person you plan to send to the USA.
  • Prepared with the immigration attorney on the firm's team.
  • If you book them, the immigration attorney on the firm's team files the applications; the attorney's application fees and the government fees are charged separately.
  • The company is one building block; the visa is a separate decision made by the US authorities.

L-1 or E-2

Which route is open to you depends on your situation.

The preferred route

L-1

L-1 is the preferred route wherever it is open: a substantial company abroad that is affiliated with your US company sends someone who worked there full time for at least one continuous year within the three years before the application, in a managerial role or with specialized knowledge.

For a new office in the USA, business premises must be secured, and the first approval is valid for one year at most.

Without a company abroad

E-2

If there is no such company, E-2 may be an option. It requires citizenship of a treaty country (most European countries, including Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands, are on the US State Department's treaty country list), a substantial investment in a real US business that you build and run, and that citizens of the treaty country hold at least half of it.

For a new US office, business premises must be secured, and the first approval is valid for one year at most. Which route suits whom is set out in writing in the visa roadmap for $2,000, prepared with the immigration attorney on the firm's team, who also files the petitions.
Are the application fees included?
No. Attorney fees for the application and government fees for the petition and visa are charged separately.
Can I add the Visa Roadmap later?
Yes. You can book extras later too, at the same prices.
